Nikki Mitchell Foundation
Nikki Mitchell, President of the enterprises of country music legends Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, saw only great possibilities in life and others. In December 2010, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given a three-month prognosis. After her passing, a group of country music artists, friends, and family started a foundation, the Nikki Mitchell Foundation, to keep her last dream of saving others from the devastating disease of pancreatic cancer alive.
The Theater Bug
On the outside we are a local non-‐profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to inspire young people to create community and build confidence-‐encouraging them through educational experiences in the performing arts. On the inside, we are a small, but growing family of young artists from different parts of town, at different ages, with different backgrounds, building bridges, and finding community by creating art together.
Nurses for Newborns
Nurses for Newborns provides a safety net for families most at-risk in order to prevent infant mortality, child abuse and neglect by providing in-home nursing visits which promote healthcare, education, and positive parenting skills.
WMOT Roots Radio
WMOT Roots Radio is the Nashville and Middle Tennessee radio station playing Americana Music at 89.5 FM. WMOT is a nonprofit, NPR Music Station licensed to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. WMOT Roots Radio broadcasts regionally to 40 counties over 100,000 watts at 89.5 FM or worldwide at WMOT.org or the WMOT app. WMOT also broadcasts Jazz programming on WMOTHD2 and streaming on WMOT.org.
As a nonprofit arts organization WMOT’s mission is to enrich the lives of music lovers by championing the sounds of Nashville’s heritage and connecting our community to one-of-a-kind programming, experiences and one another. WMOT has studios on the campus of MTSU and in East Nashville at Riverside Revival.

Montessori East is dedicated to creating a community that instills peace, courtesy, respect, and a lifetime love for learning.Their mission is to provide a multicultural environment that encourages and entices the child to become self-motivated to exhibit their own greatest learning potential while under the guidance of trained Montessori teachers.
